Lowland Canals Volunteer Group (Scottish Canals)
The Lowland Canal Volunteer Group
(LCVG) is a network of canal based voluntary sector
organisations across lowland Scotland who work together to keep the
canals an attractive place for all to enjoy.
The LCVG includes Bridge 19 - 40 Canal Society, Edinburgh Canal
Society, Forth & Clyde Canal Society, Linlithgow Union Canal
Society, Re-Union Canal Boats, Scottish Canals, Scottish Waterways
Trust and Seagull Trust Cruises.
Why not join us, have fun and meet people whilst we undertake a
variety of tasks ranging from litter picking, painting and
vegetation management to fence repair and access steps
clearing.
Look out too for LCVG-led events. The group led an award-winning series of public
events to mark the tenth
anniversary of the reopening of the Union and Forth & Clyde
Canals and the creation of the world's only rotating boatlift, the
world famous Falkirk Wheel.
