Who are We
Scotland's only national waterways
charity, the Scottish Waterways Trust, creates brighter
futures for people, wildlife and communities along Scotland's
canals.
Since the Trust was first established
over a decade ago*, we have raised £10 million and helped over
100,000 people train for work and improve their health and mental
well-being.
We are proud to have HRH The Prince
Charles, Duke of Rothesay, as our Patron.
Led by a Board of seven Trustees, the
Trust operates with the support of public donations, volunteers,
organisational funders and a wide network of partners across
Scotland's five canals.
The Trust is headquartered at The Falkirk
Wheel with project officers active on the Lowland canals and on the
Caledonian Canal in the Highlands.

* The Trust was established as part
of the GB-wide Waterways Trust in 2000
and reconstituted as a standalone Scottish charity, the
Scottish Waterways Trust, in November 2012.
