Volunteering
Learn new skills, meet new people, boost your CV, discover your
local waterway environment... there are so many reasons for getting
involved with one of our projects!
What's in it for you?
Volunteering gives you the chance to learn and develop
your skills, perhaps to build on what you already know, or
to try something completely new. This could help you get back
into work or further your career.
Our projects are varied - you could work on your own, and
gain experience in using your initiative or
self-motivation. Or you could work as part of team,
meeting new people, developing social skills - and
building up your social life!
Many of our projects are outdoors, and involve getting outside
and active. This can have huge positive effects on your
physical health and mental wellbeing.
Explore your local waterway,
discover the wildlife along these green corridors,
and uncover the secrets of our amazing history and heritage - and
make a difference in your community!
What's in it for us?
Whatever your skills or experience, we can find the project
right for you. We rely on volunteers to help us make a
difference - transforming our waterways into vibrant spaces and
improving the lives of our communities.
Our volunteers help us to conserve our unique and important
waterway heritage, improving our canalside spaces and inspiring
others to connect with our rejuvenated canals.
